What is hubu anyway?

hubu started as a collaboration between my husband and I shortly after we graduated from architecture school. We needed a catchy name for ourselves as we were entering a design competition. So, we combined the first two letters of my last name with the first two letters of his last name and voila, hubu was created!

Many moons later, when I started my design studio, I decided to revive the name. hubu is a fun and playful word to say and it is always a conversation starter. Thus hubu design formed in the spirit of staying creative, curious, and collaborative.
